Celebrate the 2024 Eclipse with a creative celestial watercolor painting at the Queens Landing Boathouse from 11 to 1 on Saturday, April 6. Create an eclipse series or fanciful planets. Enhance it with colorful lettering. 

Beginners and all levels are welcome. Art supplies will be provided.

Monica Schroeder, a scientific illustrator, will lead watercolor warm-up exercises and offer a choice between painting a solar eclipse or a series of planets. 

A brief celestial science slideshow lasting 5 minutes will provide inspiration.

Materials provided include:

• watercolors

• brushes

• watercolor paper

• watercolor makers

While the event is primarily aimed at adults, those aged 12 and above are welcome with adult supervision.
