My NYC Air: Community Science for Research & Action is research rooted in activating local knowledge and expertise. The project brings community members together to take action by informing their community and decision-makers on environmental issues, as identified by residents. Hunters Point Library Environmental Education Center programming is made possible by the Newtown Creek Environmental Benefit Fund, administered by City Parks Foundation and funded by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
