Fall Nature Walk

  • Hunter's Point South Park Center Blvd and Borden Ave 11101 United States (map)

This Fall, the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy is partnering with Gabriel Willow, a freelance environmental educator to host three nature tours in Hunter's Point South Park.

Take a nature tour of the park that will focus on the restored tidal marsh ecosystem, with some ecological history of NYC weaved in. Learn about the great potential these habitats have both as an oasis for migrating birds and also how they serve as buffers from storms and sea level rise, and increase the resiliency of our waterfront and neighborhoods.

Participants will meet at the entrance to Hunter's Point South Park at the intersection of Center Blvd. & Borden Ave. (pin location here) Please make sure you arrive 5-10 minutes before the start time.

Three events will take place (September 10, 17 and October 29 at 3 pm).

Register is suggested but not required. Register here.
