This Fall, the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy is partnering with Gabriel Willow, a freelance environmental educator to host two nature tours in Hunter's Point South Park. These tours will be limited to 20 people so registration is required. Please only sign up if you know you will be able to attend. If you need to cancel your spot, please do so using the Eventbrite page. Register here.
Welcome fall with us and take a nature tour of the park that will focus on the restored tidal marsh ecosystem, with some ecological history of NYC weaved in. Learn about the great potential these habitats have both as an oasis for migrating birds and also how they serve as buffers from storms and sea level rise, and increase the resiliency of our waterfront and neighborhoods.
Participants will meet at the entrance to Hunter's Point South Park at the intersection of Center Blvd. & Borden Ave. (pin location here) Please make sure you arrive 5-10 minutes before the start time.
Two events will take place (September 17 & October 8). You may register for one or both.
