Summer Kids: Recycled Art Workshop with the Blue Bus Project

  • Gantry Plaza State Park (map)

For three dates this Summer (Friday, August 5, 12, 19) join us for Summer Kids on the Waterfront hosted by Hunter's Point Parks Conservancy, in partnership with The Blue Bus Project. Children work with recycled and upcycled materials to bring attention to the issues of waster and the transformational power of the imagination, turning ‘trash’ into a material that is ripe for creativity.

Please visit our website, https://www.hunterspointparks.org/ for more information on everything that is happening in the Park.

Summer Kids is sponsored by Weill Cornell Medicine - Long Island City, Hunter's Point South Living, NYC Ferry, and the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, and The Blue Bus Project workshops are supported by Flushing Town Hall.

Workshops with The Blue Bus Project are supported by funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, Statewide Community Regrants Program (formerly the Decentralization program) with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and administered by Flushing Town Hall.
