Nature Journaling: Bird Migration/Colored Pencils

Nature Journaling focuses on the appreciation of nature. Anyone with a love of nature can participate; no experience is necessary. All you need is paper, a pencil and your curiosity.


Celebrate Birds in the waterfront park and discover the joy of Nature Journaling them. You'll hear all about bird migration and discover how you can make a difference in supporting these amazing creatures. Feel free to bring your preferred art materials or use our supplies.  Through a few simple exercises, scientific illustrator Monica Schroeder will guide you with tips and tricks to add birds to your art practice.

Suggested supplies: 

  • Art paper or artist notebook, any size you prefer

  • Pencils

  • Blue non-photo pencil

  • Colored pencils or a travel watercolor kit

The class is recommended for teens and adults.
