The class will begin with a short presentation on the natural cycles happening all around us—from the tides and seasonal changes to the birds, flowers, aquatic life, and even the tiny plankton drifting in the East River. Then, you’ll create your own Phenology Wheel—a visual journal of nature’s patterns. Whether you focus on the seasons, the moon, local wildlife, or weather, this project will deepen your awareness of the natural world, even in an urban setting.
This class is designed for adults, but high school students (ages 14+) are welcome with a parent or guardian present.
