The Hunters Point Parks Conservancy is proud to partner with the Woodside-Sunnyside Runners, Run LIC, and the LIC Post to put on the annual LIC Waterfront 5K, to be held this year on Saturday, June 1.

This event takes runners and walkers through the streets and waterfront parks of Long Island City and is an extremely popular family-friendly event that drawers casual and competitive runners alike. After the conclusion of the 5K, the festivities also include the Center Boulevard Children’s Dashes for kids 2-9.

Previous races have been attended by over 1,600 runners and walkers. All proceeds from the event go to HPPC and are put back into our parks or used for our free community events!

Check out the event page for full race details and to sign up for the race. Registration fee is $30 for the 5K and $20 for the kids race (prices increase by $5 after Earth Day). All runners who register early receive a t-shirt, swag bag, and personalized bib.

We have a variety of sponsorship options available for the LIC Waterfront 5K, ranging from $750 - $10,000. Sponsorship benefits include having your logo on the event t-shirts, swag bags, photo booth pictures, and much more. Higher level sponsors can also table at the event.
