Creek-tures: Make a Fun Diorama Shadow Box of the Creatures of Newtown Creek

Explore the vibrant ecosystem of Newtown Creek! Begin with a 10-minute presentation on the rich life in and around the creek, then unleash your creativity with drawing, painting, and collage. Afterward, create a unique 5" x 7" shadow box diorama using paper, cardboard, watercolors, markers, and scissors. All materials will be provided.

Note: We’ll provide scissors, but you’re welcome to bring an art knife/Exacto and a cutting mat if preferred. Please ensure art blades are used with a cutting mat to protect the tables.

This workshop is designed for adults, but teens with adult supervision are welcome.
