Oyster Monitoring

Thursday, June 16th 
Time: 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Come participate in collecting data for the Billion Oyster Project! We'll clean, monitor, and explore Gantry Plaza State Park's new oysters in this hands-on program.

Ages 5 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Where: Oyster monitoring will take place at Gantry Plaza State Park on the Fishing Pier (Pier 4) by the intersection of Center Blvd and 50th Ave.

  • Pre-registration through Eventbrite is highly recommended to ensure that space is available. Please reserve one ticket for each person attending the event (INCLUDING caregivers and babies).  

  • Social distancing and masks are encouraged but not required.

  • In the case of inclement weather, the program may be rescheduled or canceled. Please be sure to check your email a few hours before the program starts.
