The NYC Parks Stewardship Team is looking for volunteers to help by spreading mulch that is generated during Mulchfest around young trees to insulate them from the cold winter weather. Volunteers will weed, aerate, cultivate, and spread mulch around young street trees. Volunteers should dress in clothes that can get dirty and closed toe shoes. They are also encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. Space is limited and registration is required.
