Wrap up your holiday season and say goodbye to your tree at Mulchfest. Join NYC Parks and the New York City Department of Sanitation in the NYC holiday tradition of recycling your Christmas tree! Put on your boots and haul your tree to a Mulchfest location where it’ll be turned into wood chips that will be used to nourish trees and make NYC even greener.

Trees can be brought to Hunter’s Point South Park any time between December 26th and January 11th, but if you bring your tree to a chipping site on one of the Chipping Saturdays (1/4 and 1/11) you can take home a tree-mento! Your tree will be chipped and you will receive your very own bag of mulch to use in your backyard or to make a winter bed for a street tree.
