Join HPPC & Snapology LIC for a children’s LEGO STEAM adventure! On Thursday, March 11 at 2:30pm we present Designing Around the Environment!

Event Description: Does your builder enjoy designing beautiful buildings or functional spaces for their mini-figures? If so, this program is the perfect space for your young architect to sharpen their design and building skills! All buildings, from the Empire State Building to the house next door, started as an idea in an architect’s head. In this lesson, students will be challenged to consider how architects and engineers can use the landscape in a certain area – rather than destroy it – in order to creating their structural designs. They will be challenged to design an environment and then they will have to build a structure around that environment that is still structurally sound.

**This program is meant for children ages 4-10. Children under 4 are welcome, but should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All programs use loose LEGO bricks (approximately a 1/2 gallon, or one Ziploc bag worth) - or can be done with pencil & paper**
