Oyster Monitoring

Thursday, September 30th 
Time: 3:00-4:30pm 

Help us monitor Gantry Plaza State Park's oysters! 
Ages 5 and older. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Learn about the importance of oysters in our estuary and help us monitor Gantry Plaza State Park's oysters. We will be measuring oysters and monitoring water quality and biodiversity in and around our oyster cage. All data is collected as part of a community science initiative through the Billion Oyster Project.

All materials will be provided at this FREE program.

Where: Oyster monitoring will take place at Gantry Plaza State Park on the Fishing Pier (Pier 4) by the intersection of Center Blvd and 50th Ave.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19:

In order to ensure the health and safety of our staff and participants, we ask that you please follow the guidelines below:

  • Social distancing and mask wearing will be encouraged.

  • Participants must pre-register through Eventbrite.

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are required for ALL people attending the event (INCLUDING adults and babies). Please reserve one ticket per individual.
